10 Biggest Lies Gamers Tell Themselves

7. I'm Not Addicted

Red-Dead-Redemption Games can be pretty addictive. They aren't like movies or television shows, where you're just witnessing some action. You're simultaneously witnessing action and causing actions/reactions to occur. This puts video games that much deeper into your mind. Sure, you can stop playing at any time, but you don't want to. When you wake up in the middle of the night and instinctively get up to play Liar's Dice, or when you start having dreams that you're lassoing up some person to put on the train tracks, you can be pretty sure you've hit rock bottom. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "I'm not addicted to any game. I've never been, and I never will be." Well, now you're not only lying to yourself, but you're lying to me, too.
