10 Biggest Problems With Nintendo Switch
5. The EShop's Never Been Great
If you wish to purchase digital games on the Switch, you'll need to connect to the eShop. While on the home page, the left side of the screen is filled with categories to help you navigate including Recent Releases, Charts, Current Offers, and Coming Soon. With such a simple layout, it feels like you can't go wrong.
Annoyingly, Nintendo doesn't seem to get the hang of digital distribution, despite being a part of the company since the Wii.
First off, the eShop loads slower than the Commodore 64. The products are so disorganised, you might be oblivious that games you want to play are available, and have been for years. You may be oblivious that the eShop contains gems like Far: Changing Tides, Neon White, Paradise Killer, Card Shark, and Citizen Sleeper at a really reasonable price because the service focuses more on advertising crap like Super Bomberman R.
If you thought you could purchase a good game at a discount, good luck. Although you will find such titles in the Current Offers section, you'll have to wade through 800 stinkers before finding anything worthwhile.
