10 Biggest Reasons No One Cares About Playing Video Games Online
4. Cop-Out For Bad Offline Mode
This one is for all of the generic shooters out on the market and one major series in particular. Everyone always says that people buy the annual Call of Duty game, for example, because of its multiplayer. This is very true but it certainly shouldn't be. Why even bother making a campaign mode if it is going to be as bad as the recent CoD attempts have been? The few who actually finished the most recent campaign in Ghosts will know this. So many games today feature the generic action movie plot that everybody has seen beaten to death. It is getting to a point where it is more sad than angering. An original plot would be a welcomed addition but at the end of the day, money screams louder than creativity. The Call of Duty series isn't the only culprit of this either. Assassin's Creed, for example, began pushing out yearly releases and since then, the quality has fallen off quite a bit. At the end of the day, the only way to stop this is by not buying the games. At this point though, it just seems like people would rather have a yearly update over a legitimate story.
