10 Biggest Video Game Time Sinks

6. Two Dots

You would think that being a free to play mobile game that limits your gaming to a number of rechargeable lives (unless, of course, you're willing to pay for a refill), it would be impossible to sink too much time into Two Dots. You would be wrong.

The concept of the game is simple enough; connect a certain number of coloured dots to complete a level. Yet this Gunpey-esque puzzle game manages to be more addictive that Candy Crush, Flappy Bird, Farmville, and any number of mobile games. For one thing, there are literally thousands of levels, and that doesn't take into account the expeditions that you can complete outside of the main game.

For another, the gameplay is deceptively varied. While early levels can be solved by simply connecting dots, later stages introduce a host of different obstacles and goals, including fire dots that spread across the board, flowers that will eliminate any adjacent dots of matching colours, and blocks that you must clear before you can proceed.

Once your five lives are up, you will find yourself checking your phone constantly to see if you can play again. Or spending your real-life money on extra lives, if you're that kind of person.
