Dark Souls is notorious for it's difficulty and many of us struggled at some point throughout the classic dark fantasy role playing game. From Software have crafted some of the most memorable, exhilarating and memorable boss fights in all of gaming and almost all of the bosses will drop a unique soul item that can be used to craft a special boss weapon.

The first boss that most of us struggled with more than anything in the game up until this point was the legendary duo boss Ornstein and Smough.

After traversing the treacherous area of Anor Londo, players are met with this gruesome twosome in the Cathedral at the very top of the city. Dragon Slayer Ornstein is a smaller, more nimble opponent who will rapidly close down players with his thrusting spear attacks whilst Executioner Smough is an enormous hulking beast who has a much slower but more powerful move set.

Smough's weapon of choice is a giant golden hammer with which he sweeps and smashes around the boss room. Upon finally defeating the duo, you can use the Soul of Smough with a hammer or great hammer to receive Smough's mighty weapon for yourself.

In a game with a vast lineup of oversized weapons, Smough's hammer takes the cake which is no mean feat.
