8. Batmobile Combat Was A Blast The First Few Times... But An Absolute Bore After The Fiftieth Tank Battle
The Batmobile has turned out to be the most divisive element of Arkham Knight, with fans split right down the middle between loving the fast-paced carnage offered by the Caped Crusader's signature ride or outright despising the very thought of engaging in yet another battle against dozens of tanks. See, the problem isn't even necessarily the idea of pitting the Batmobile against vehicles outfitted for combat as the first few encounters with Arkham Knight's army were actually entertaining. No, the problem was the fact that Rocksteady simply couldn't stop shoving the thing down people's throats at every turn, with the last few hours in particular devolving into a seemingly endless cycle of strafe-and-shoot against waves and waves of enemies. And while the Batmobile certainly presented a number of unique opportunities for gameplay - there were more than a few moments in the Riddler segments in particular that were fantastically inventive - this came at the expense of overdoing it in nearly every other area as the Batmobile even managed to creep it's way into the few boss fights the game even had.
