10 Bizarre Video Game Spin-Offs You Had No Idea Existed

8. Bomberman: Act Zero (2006) (Xbox 360)

url-7 Times change, and that means that more often than not, people like their cute and cuddly games re-made in the vein of more adult-orientated, post-apocalyptic horror games. Right? Konami thought so anyway, and decided to take Bomberman - you know, that adorable and not at all frightening Eskimo-like character who we spent the '80s enjoying video games with - and place him slap bang in the middle of what can only be described as a "terror hell." Welcome to Bomberman: Act Zero, 'cause now we're taking this shit seriously. Gone, then, are the bright, vibrant and colorful maps and locations of the older, "lamer" Bomberman titles: for this spin-off, Konami decided to transform their iconic character into a kind of twisted cyborg warrior and have him navigate mazes built straight out your nightmares. You know, all fire and metal and desolation. The game was panned for being absolutely terrible and failing to render Bomberman in "a dirty world," and nobody has talked about this game since. To be fair, nobody was really talking about it in 2006, anyway.
