It's in no way a bold prediction to suggest that Microsoft will be once again doubling down on Xbox Game Pass at E3, with the service enjoying incredible levels of growth as of late, just recently passing 23 million subscribers.

Microsoft are playing hardball this generation, though, and clearly want to incentivise as much investment in the Xbox ecosystem as possible.

While it's likely they'll end up acquiring more studios in the near-future, the simplest thing they can do to increase Game Pass' value is to get more third-party AAA games on the service day-and-date.

Per Microsoft's recent team-up with EA to bring EA Play to Game Pass, rumours have been swirling that Microsoft will drop a colossal megaton at E3 2021 by announcing that Battlefield 6 will go to Game Pass on release day.

This would be a major coup for the service considering that Battlefield 6 will be a multi-platform title also available on PlayStation consoles, and confirm that Microsoft is willing to throw some major coin around to lock down the most lucrative multi-plat IP going.
