10 BONE-BREAKING Video Game Moves That Made You Wince
1. Kratos' Blades Of Olympus - Mortal Kombat (2011)
While discussing the most barbarous special moves in gaming, you can't limit yourself to one example from Mortal Kombat. We could've easily put nothing but Mortal Kombat moves on this list ten times over but we're going to only limit it to two.
When NetherRealm Studios announced Kratos as a DLC character for the 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat, fans were stoked for the chance to perform finishing moves as the god of war. Kratos has earned a reputation for his gory kills and so, fans expected his executions to be especially brutal.
His Medusa Gaze Fatality may be surprisingly bloodless but his Blades of Olympus finisher is one of the most ruthless deaths in the game. Kratos starts by stabbing his opponent with the Blades of Exile. As they fall to their knees and feebly try to stop blood from pouring out of their mid-section, the Greek demi-god impales his victim through the spine with the Blade of Olympus.
As his rival lets out a bloodcurdling scream, Kratos slices his blade upward, cutting his rival in half from the torso. What is left of Kratos' enemy then flops and spasms as it drops to the ground.
