10 Bosses That Stopped Games Being 5 Stars

3. Zoran Lazarević - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Aside from the forgivably clunky and unvaried original, a strong case could be made for any of the Uncharted games being the franchise’s masterpiece. In fact, despite the myriad advancements implemented in its follow-ups, 2009’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves largely remains the fan favorite.

After all, its jaw-dropping action scenes, endearing characters, lovable dialogue, and engaging plot are top-notch. It also houses an incredibly compelling baddie in Zoran Lazarević (a merciless Serbian war criminal who – with the help of countless mercenaries – stops at nothing to thwart Nathan Drake and company from getting the Chintamani Stone and finding Shambhala).

It’s a real shame, then, that murdering him at the end of the journey is such a pain in the ass.

Infused with unmitigated power from the mythical Tree of Life, Lazarević chases Drake around Shambhala while firing grenades and bullets at him like it’s going out of fashion. He’ll occasionally throw Drake across the level, too, which just adds insult to injury.

Naturally, that makes blowing up huge chunks of blue resin to kill him extremely tough and tiring. Sure, enough trial and error will lead to his downfall, but you’ll be too exhausted and annoyed to fully appreciate your victory.
