10 Brilliant Video Games With TERRIBLE Endings

One type of game that can definitely rub people the wrong way with its ending are RPG's. Because of how story heavy they are, your ending to that story had better be damn good or people are going to get pretty rightly pissed.

Which brings us nicely to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. While the devs definitely learned their lesson in the next game, as Mankind Divided actually had a pretty decent ending, Human Revolution did what all bad RPG endings do and gave you a multiple choice question that resulted in different endings. Not based on your previous choices or anything, in fact they're completely cut off from the choices you made in the rest of the game, barring a few details here and there.

It's not the worst offender of this - oh no that's for the next entry - but it's still pretty disappointing compared to the rest of the game, which was one of the best RPG experiences of the last ten years. So to end on such a simplistic note was such a let down. Nowhere near as much as the next one, though.
