10 Brilliant Video Games With TERRIBLE Endings
4. Knights Of The Old Republic 2
If there's one series that is solely responsible for putting Bioware on the map, it would be Knights Of The Old Republic. However, they only really did one of the two KOTOR games, while the other one was handled by New Vegas devs Obsidian Entertainment. Which is fine, as they're immensely talented as well. However, you can clearly tell if you know the two companies well enough which did which.
For one, KOTOR 1 has a far superior ending. While KOTOR 2 will more than keep you hooked with its excellent update to the KOTOR formula and engaging story and characters, all of which center around calling into question everything the Jedi stand for, its ending is literally just a Q&A.
You defeat Kreia after either sacrificing or saving your entire crew and beating Kreia's little psycho Sith boytoy, and as a reward she chooses to tell you what becomes of your friends after this story is concluded. That's right, the epilogue to this game is straight up told step by step to you instead of actually showing you anything. At least Dragon Age: Origins let you read it for yourself set against some interesting imagery.
