9. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
This past generation hasn’t been kind to the Master Chief. Halo 5: Guardians disappointed fans in a major way, but the problems started way before then. The rocky launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection was a major turning point for many fans, as the release left the hardcore fans utterly disappointed.
While players were hoping to recapture the nostalgia of the original Bungie games, they got a broken mess of a multiplayer experience. The one thing that really messed up the online was the terrible matchmaking, as people weren't even able to get into servers. Some even had to wait for hours just to join a match, but luckily patches were released following the initial launch.
It took a whole bunch of patches and fixes across years to deal with the problems once and for all, but luckily the broken state of the game is now resolved. Now that Halo: Reach is also included in the collection, players might finally be able to get that nostalgic experience they were looking for back in 2014.
