10 Broken Video Games Finally Ready To Play
8. Control
While Control won some big awards this past year, the new Remedy title wasn’t in that great of a shape when it first launched. The game ran poorly on consoles when it came to frames per second, which was acknowledged in some reviews as well. Fans on Reddit also took notice of this, with some claiming that they encountered framerate drops to 10 fps.
The performance on PS4 was especially bad as the framerate would make certain sections virtually unplayable. Players on PS4 weren't wrong to call Control broken, as their game ran so poorly they couldn't finish certain areas where the framerate kept dipping to catastrophic levels.
In the months following the release of the game, Remedy has been working hard on multiple patches to improve these major problems. In patch 1.03 that released back in September, the studio managed to fix most of the framerate drops. Since then there have been three more patches, all of which improved the performance of the game even more, as well as adding some cool new features like a Photo Mode and a new, free game mode.
