10 Broken Yu-Gi-Oh Cards That Can NEVER Be Unbanned

5. Makyura The Destructor

Though Hand Traps (Monsters whose Quick Effects can be activated from the hand) are becoming more and more common, Yu-Gi-Oh! still maintains a basic balance introduced at the start of the game. Trap Cards, which are often more powerful than their counterpart Spells, must be Set before they can be activated, ensuring players cannot play these powerful cards straight away and giving their opponent a chance to clear them off the field.

Makyura The Destructor, however, turns this preventative measure on its head, completely overthrowing the balance of the game. Though Makyura's effect only lasts for one turn, often that turn - along with one well-timed Trap Card - can be enough to change the course of the Duel.

A Level 4 monster, Makyura is extremely easy to Summon, and can provide a permanent Field presence, with many players unwilling to destroy Makyura in order to not trigger its devestating effect.
