10 Cancelled Video Games That Would Have Made Millions

6. Halo: Chronicles

Platform: Xbox 360 Releasing pretty much any game in the Halo franchise is a guaranteed way of making millions and millions of dollars, so it's hard not to think that Bungie might have missed a trick when they abandoned Halo: Chronicles, a video game that was described - in its development stages - as "the filmiest of the Halo games." Though little was known about what Chronicles actually entailed, it was said that the game would have been pretty much akin to an interactive film. Such a description makes a lot more sense when you realise that Chronicles was supposed to have been released alongside that elusive Peter Jackson-directed Halo movie as something of a companion piece, featuring a narrative bent on exposing the "intimate, personal aspects of war." When the Halo movie fell through, however, production on Chronicles slowed and eventually ceased entirely. Certainly, though, this was a big cash bonanza waiting to happen.
