10 Cancelled Video Games That Would Have Made Millions
5. The Dark Knight
Platform: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 Not many people know that The Dark Knight, often thought to be the greatest superhero movie of all-time, could have ended up as one of the greatest video game games of all-time, too. Or maybe that's a bit of wishful thinking. Still, chances are that a game featuring the likes of Batman as he goes up against Heath Ledger's iconic Joker would have been an absolute blast to play. And indeed, it was Pandemic Studios who set out to create such a game back in 2007. The Dark Knight was supposed to feature the voice of Gary Oldman and was rumoured to have incorporated a new and nifty "gliding system" for controlling the Caped Crusader. Weirdly, soon after the game was announced in 2008, it disappeared off the face of the Earth, and all references to its production were dropped. Had this game actually been rendered, though, it was estimated it could have generated over $100 million in revenue for the companies involved.
