10 Cancelled Video Games You Can Actually Play

1. GoldenEye 007 Remaster

Because it's hard to go back to the clunky FPS that is GoldenEye 007, it makes sense that fans want an updated version of the game. Fans tried to remake it themselves but were met with a cease and desist.

Luckily we at least got the 2010 Wii remake which is alright. The thing is, another updated version of GoldenEye 007 was in the works over at Rare, the developers of the original game.

This wasn't a full remake, it was the original game remastered in a few ways to be more playable to gamers back in 2008. It was also given a few more multiplayer maps. It was going to be released on Xbox Live Arcade but was cancelled.

Apparently, the reason for the cancellation was licensing issues. Since Nintendo published the original, Microsoft owned Rare, and EON owned the James Bond license, it makes sense that it would be a nightmare to bring together.

Luckily, a fully playable version of the remaster was released online. Whilst it's not easy to get running, it is possible and reveals a pretty great version of the original game.
