10 Cancelled Video Games You Can Actually Play
2. Saints Row: Undercover
Saints Row: Undercover was originally going to be a port of Saints Row 2 for the PSP. After realising that the PSP was nowhere near powerful enough to play Saints Row 2 it was decided that it should be an original Saints Row game instead.
First called Saints Row: The Fall before being renamed to Saints Row: Undercover, the game was being developed at first by Mass Media Games before development was given to Savage Entertainment. When the publishers over at THQ saw a build of the game, they didn't think it was good enough to be a part of the Saints Row franchise so it was cancelled.
This isn't even the only cancelled Saints Row game with Saints Row: Money Shot (which you can also play), Saints Row: The Cooler, and Saints Row: Drive-By all being cancelled.
Saints Row: Undercover is the most interesting though as the developers over at Volition Games decided that they were going to leak the game themselves, which can now be played for free on a PSP or PSP Emulator.
The build is clearly far in development. It's unfinished, but worth a play for Saints Row fans.
