6. Midna And Wolf Link
Zelda is another universe that already has some love shown from Smash Bros. Link has been a mainstay and Melee brought Zelda and Ganondorf along for the ride (even if one of them was a Captain Falcon clone). The Zelda series is based on this trifecta of characters, but there is room in the Smash Bros. arena for one more to appear and I'm not talking about Tingle (no-one is ever talking about Tingle). Midna, from Twilight Princess, wasn't the best of the Zelda sidekicks but it was her teaming with Link while he was trapped in his wolf form in the Twilight Realm when the game's mechanics shifted to open up different methods of platforming as well as unique abilities. The pairing would be a great combination with their gloomy art style contrasting the latest Skyward Sword colours the returning Link will adopt. As a general Zelda suggestion, why aren't any of their bosses used in Smash Bros. stages? The Metroid stage and boss combinations worked smoothly so why can't we see Gleeok or Gohma get in on the action?
