10 Cheat Codes That BROKE YOUR GAME

6. Alien Abduction - FIFA 2000

This must be among the strangest entries on this list – which is saying something – since it involves interrupting the relatively calm and leisurely sport of soccer with the ridiculousness of extra-terrestrial kidnapping.

Basically, the eighth entry in Electronic Arts’ long-running (but recently discontinued) FIFA franchise allows gamers to play an entire match with random alien abductions by entering “dizzy” in the cheat menu beforehand.

Far from being a minor annoyance or temporary inconvenience, the eerily precise hovering beam of light permanently removes each targeted teammate from the remainder of the match. As funny as it is the first few times, the monumentally disruptive nature of the gimmick soon reveals itself.

Let’s say you’ve sprinted across the entire field in preparation to score a goal, only to get lifted off into outer space just as you line-up your perfect shot. Or, let’s say you’ve outlined a game-winning play that involves kicking the ball to someone way in the distance, only to see them carried away just as you’re about to make the pass

Clearly, these otherworldly creatures are dead set on ruining the strategy, fluidity, and general playability of FIFA 2000. Sadly, the fatal lightning storm cheat isn’t much better.
