10 Classic Video Games Clocked In Ridiculous Speed-Runs

1. Super Mario 64

Super Mario 64 is arguably the moustached plumbers finest outing. Mario 64 is the highest selling game on the N64 and you'd be hard pushed at finding someone who didn't actually own the title at one stage during their N64 career. Mario's first 3D adventure is designed to be an enjoyable time consuming outing in the search for those elusive stars. The collection of stars was necessary to progress towards the final battle with Bowser, but one speed-runner 'FunilaSM64' proved that this wasn't the case in the slightest, and glitched to a jaw dropping 6mins 41sec with zero stars collected. The skill on display in the video is nothing short of phenomenal with the expert timing of jumps and quick bursts of speed, even with the despised camera at work. FunilaSM64 spent countless hours, days and months exploring every inch of the game in search for that world warping glitch that all speed-runners crave. Mario 64 hosts a number of world records including a 16 star time of 17mins 31secs by Myles 'ShadowOfMyles' Bukrim and a 70 star time of 49min 43secs by Mike 'Siglemic' Sigler. Mike also holds the record for 120 star collection in a wonderful 1hr 48min 5secs, but has yet to confirm the discovery of a playable Luigi...he's not in it okay! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk1w3hcQT7g If your favourite game didn't make the list then head on over to the official Speed Demo Archive where there's a high change it will be listed for your viewing pleasure.
