10 Classic Video Games Clocked In Ridiculous Speed-Runs

3. Super Metroid

Super Metroid is one of the best action games that was ever committed to cartridge. Released for the Super Nintendo, it dominated the world in 1994 thanks to the advanced colourful sprites and progressive action. It's currently the seventh highest rated title on the Game Rankings website. Samus has experienced many adventures over the years but none have turned her into the nimble boss killing machine that speed-runner Satoru 'Hotarubi' Suzuki does when holding the control pad. Satoru expertly finished Super Metroid in a whopping 32mins. Mr Suzuki openly admits that his speed run consists of around 100 mistakes. Admitting his slight imperfections he confirmed he could have shaved it to 30mins or under, but is understandably happy with his current world record. Special mention should also be said for Christopher Hill, who finished the PAL version is an equally brilliant 34min. Christopher masterfully doubled his world record awards by also possessing the record for 100% in a 48min run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9INOu8hNpc
