10 Classic Video Games That Deserve A Next Generation Definitive Edition

5. Gears Of War/Gears 2

Gears Experience Gears 3 is being excluded from this list as it rubs the good name of the first two games in the dirt and is more than a bit rubbish. Perhaps you liked it though, so feel free to think of this one as a trilogy if you're that way inclined. Like Mass Effect, Gears is more than likely to get a sequel in the coming years after Microsoft recently bought the rights to the Gears IP directly from series creators Epic Games. They're probably busy over there right now trying to bring back the magic to the Gears series that was lost in Gears 3 and routinely dumped upon in Gears of War Judgment. So why do we need to relive Gears 1 and 2 on our Xbox Ones? Simple - blood and guts flying everywhere with the beautiful next-gen Lancers forming a gruesome symphony of carnage. Of course there's some storyline to relive and countless Locust to kill along the way as well, but that's the most important bit. Can you remember some of the epic moments from the first two games? Wouldn't it be great to see such things as the Lightmass bombing on the train, or travel through the interior of a Rift Worm once again with graphics oozing with detail?
