10 Classic Video Games Only Extended By Stupid Enemy Decisions

1. Not Shooting Solid Snake - Metal Gear Solid

The Metal Gear Solid games feature a complex, weaving narrative meaning that often it's difficult to know what characters are truly intending until they reveal it later on in a 15-minute monologue. The premise of Metal Gear Solid is pretty loopy, in that Liquid Snake, under the guise of Solid Snake's old buddy Master Miller, allows Solid to make it all the way to their operation, in the hope that he will inadvertently use the PAL card to arm nuclear robot Metal Gear REX, which is exactly what happens. However, Snake manages to defeat REX, at which point any normal villain might think, "Hmmm, maybe I better just shoot this guy?", but instead, Liquid challenges Snake to a fistfight atop Metal Gear REX, which Liquid loses, and even when he finally decides to shoot Solid after a catastrophic car crash, he's claimed by FoxDie before he can pull the trigger. Basically, Liquid was too arrogant, too egotistical and too flat-out stupid to execute his enormously convoluted plan properly. Are there any other absurd enemy decisions I missed? Let me know in the comments!
