10. Maniac Mansion In Day Of The Tentacle

One of the best ways of getting to grips with a sequel is to make sure you€™re well versed with its predecessor and LucasArts made that as easy as they could with their 1993 PC release Day of the Tentacle. How To Find It By simply entering Weird Ed€™s room and walking up to the Commodore 64-esque computer, players were granted access to the full version of Maniac Mansion €“ the seminal point-and-click game lauded as an influence on future adventure games and horror titles like Resident Evil. Day of the Tentacle used largely the same formula as Maniac Mansion, so it makes sense for players to get accustomed to the first game and it was nice bonus for the developers to include the original so early on €“ effectively enabling players to tackle it before starting the sequel. If you weren€™t one of the lucky players to experience Day of the Tentacle then don€™t worry, the team behind the game are preparing to release a special edition version for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows, OS X and Linux later this year.
