10 Completely Pointless Video Game Details (That Will Blow Your Mind)

9. The Coordinates On Black Ops 2's Tactical Insertion Correlate With Real Locations

A blink-and-you'll-miss-it detail, for the most part players will pay no attention to the little gadgets that characters use to call in killstreaks in Black Ops 2. More focused on staying alive rather than paying attention to these animations, the developers could have made it so that the characters called in UAVs or bombing runs by pulling them up on Google and players probably wouldn't have noticed.

They didn't though, and instead the studio actually slipped in a little detail that would reward only the most eagle-eyed Call of Duty players: the coordinates that show up on the tactical insertion gadget actually correspond with wherever the multiplayer map you're playing is geographically located.

Changing depending on the location, you wouldn't even notice the coordinates unless you freeze-framed the split-second they're on screen, but that was enough for players to figure out that they were more than just throwaway numbers, and were actually authentic to their location.
