10 Completely Pointless Video Game Details (That Will Blow Your Mind)
5. Realistic Environments In Ubisoft Games
Although their games have often been criticised for being bland and lifeless (no doubt thanks to how marred they've become by the horrendous glitches of Assassin's Creed or the visual downgrade of Watch Dogs), Ubisoft put just as much thought into the small details as any other studio.
The Division was no different, and despite being yet another Ubi game criticised for suffering a visual downgrade, the finished product was still full of small details that increased the believability of its world. The snow in particular was impressive, being fully interactable and covering the environment in a realistic way. The way it would lay on cars was natural, and brushing up against these vehicles would cause the snow to be pushed off and fall to the floor.
Likewise, Watch Dogs 2 featured just as many small features that you probably didn't notice, like the way individual branches and leaves would fall from a tree if you were parked under it. Unfortunately, while Ubi are great at capturing the small details, they don't fare so well when it comes to the bigger picture, meaning a lot of these cool little moments are never appreciated.
