10 Console Games That Will Probably Be Banned In China

8. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Yet again we have a crime game, but instead of set in the sewers of highly-rated Human Development Index Hong Kong, Dog Days takes place in Shanghai. What begins as a simple Triad-tale, with the titular terrible-duo tasked to shakedown an informant, instead it turns into a direct confrontation with China's elite - a member of Politburo - the group who oversee the Communist Part of China. Kane and Lynch don't pull punches: the whole of Chinese society in the game is an interpenetration of filthy, monstrous criminals and sociopathic politicians. If China banned the New York Times for publishing an investigative feature that alleged the same thing - with actual evidence - you can bet this kind of political commentary won't be allowed. (Probable) Official Statement: Banned for "unfounded accusations of China's respectful business elite" and "repetitive enemy encounters."
