To say that gamers missed Rapture is an understatement; the underwater dystopia had become one of the most beloved video game worlds of all time with its unique look and disturbing charm. So when Levine took players out of Rapture and took them to the skies of Columbia, it was fair to say that a lot of gamers were hoping that they would one day get a chance to submerge into the depths once more. And boy, were their wishes ever granted in the closing moments of BioShock Infinite. As the game draws to its certifiably insane final moments, players are whisked back into the nostalgia heaven of Rapture as the series begins laying the groundwork for its very own multiverse. It's the biggest gamble in the entire series, especially considering that Levine would go on to close Irrational Games down and leave the BioShock series in the hands of 2K Games. Whatever they end up doing with it, it's likely that Rapture hasn't sunk just yet.
