8. Gears Of War: Judgement - Haunted Paintings
This easter egg is quite an interesting one and has a haunted air about it. Whilst not downright horrifying, it is enough to make to a little unnerved. In the library multiplayer map, there is hidden painting behind one of the hidden bookshelves.
Tossing a couple grenades into the rafters, causes the painting to drop down, and a piece of paper to fall to the floor. Shoot the paper, and the painting gets a bullet hole through the head and the spoke of a nearby cog lights up.
Hidden throughout the level are several other paintings and scraps of paper. Finding them all and shooting each of the pieces of paper. Returning to the original painting, you'll find the cog lit up. Looking at the painting will spawn a ghost, who will disappear after a few seconds. Shooting the painting will teleport you into a boss battle with said ghost, before tossing you back without another word said.
Strange, peculiar and definitely a little unnerving.
