7. GPS Tracking In General

Speaking of the Nearby menu and the GPS tracking that governs your position in relation to the Pokémon themselves, in general it can be markedly less than perfect.

Walk near a sizeable body of water and chances are the game will think you're in it, or attempt to hitch a ride on public transport to tap on multiple PokéStops along the way, and watch your avatar appear on the wrong street altogether.

There is a 25mph cutoff in terms of when the app stops tracking and populating the game world, but you have to wonder how many other elements of the experience aren't loading in as they should, simply because the fundamental act of tracking hasn't been nailed down.
