10 Crucial Questions We Have For 2017's Remaining Video Games
1. Is Assassin's Creed Origins Going To Kill The Franchise For Good?
Oh boy, it's... it's not looking too great for Assassin's Creed Origins.
What started as an overwhelmingly positive response following an E3 2017 reveal immediately turned to deflation once we saw more of the game in action. Overhauled Dark Souls-lite combat 'showed off' sporadic and rushed attacks, facial tech and animation in general brings back the horror of Mass Effect Andromeda, and seeing how basic the "Go to X, then Y, then Z" mission structures are, there's very little to get excited about.
Still, this is the first time Ubisoft have taken two years off since between the original instalment and AC II back in 2009, and as it looks to be delving into the formation of the Assassin brotherhood itself, there's some potent plot potential there that could be worth seeing.
Here's hoping.
