2. Can PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Succeed On Xbox?

If you - like me - are but a 'lowly console peasant', you could care less about what trends are peaking and flatlining over in the land of PC. But that said, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a bonafide phenomenon.

Topping over 8 million units sold in just a few months, PUBG's current player numbers are continuing to hit record numbers, with around 670,000 consecutive players at any given time. Indeed, the 100 player Battle Royale survival game will let console owners get in on the action when PUBG drops on Xbox One, but you have to wonder two things:

1. Does the Xbox One's disastrous place in the current console spectrum hurt the game's chances at catching on, and

2. As it will be launching in Early Access, will a wider consumer base put up with a game that still needs months of work?

Hopefully the game finds its audience despite the inevitable frame rate drops and disconnects that'll come with a new platform launch, as with updates dropping every few weeks, it should continue to maintain a fantastic community.
