7. Giving You A Trophy For Killing Your Own Teammate - Rogue Trooper Redux
Who among us doesn't love trophies and achievements? The thrilling dopamine surge of a hard-earned 'cheev speaks for itself, and of course, if players need to do something sketchy to get their latest hit, they're more than likely going to.
And so we have 2017's Rogue Trooper Redux, which received flak upon release for offering up a secret achievement called "Accidental Killer." It could be unlocked by killing any of your teammates during an online match with friendly fire turned on.
Obviously encouraging you to teamkill in a competitive game makes this a rather unsporting achievement, and though it left some players rather miffed, developers Rebellion never revised or removed it, instead offering up a wafer-thin rationale for the accolade's inclusion:
"The game's about betrayal of your own kind after all, so we figured it would be fun to have a trophy where you betray your teammates - perhaps unintentionally, perhaps not!"
Obviously the Christian way to get the achievement is by playing with a friend and willingly killing each other, but let's be honest: most of us just entered a random lobby and let rip.
