10 Cruelest Things We All Did In Famous Video Games

9. Vandalising The Houses Of Non-Subscribers In Paperboy

Paperboy is hardly the sort of game where players might expect to be able to conduct any acts of cruelty. After all, it is a simple game where you are tasked with just delivering papers to the houses that need them, all whilst trying to ensure you don't end up falling off your bike in the process.

However, even in a game with a premise as innocent as that there is still plenty of opportunity to be needlessly dickish. See, the papers that you deliver are flung at the houses that are subscribed, with the intention being for them to land at the front door.

In the wrong hands they become missiles of death, and this is exactly what happens when more vindictive players get a hold of the game. If you happen to come across a house that doesn't yet subscribe to your paper, there is nothing stopping you from flinging one at them anyway, aiming for the window in the hopes to shatter it.

It probably doesn't do much to convince them to come on board, but it is a random act of cruelty in a game where such things wouldn't normally even be on the radar. Imagine a neighbourhood all subscribing to the same paper over fear of what their tyrannical paperboy overlord might do to their windows - because that's the world you've created.
