10 Cult Classic Video Games That Deserve A Sequel

5. Binary Domain

Brutal Legend
Sega

Despite being a relatively small release, Binary Domain had one major feature that made it stick out from other games in the genre: The 'consequence system'.

Taking into account the actions of the player, this changes how teammates act in gameplay and story situations. Choosing to favour one teammate over the other could have affects on how they fight in combat, which places the social aspect and story above everything else in the game.

Saying that, combat can also be pretty awesome. Because you're almost always fighting robots, shooting them causes them to fall apart. This can be used tactically, as getting rid of different limbs have different effects entirely, which makes combat feel different every time.

Combining all of these features makes Binary Domain a pretty special game. Having a sequel that does all of that and more would be absolutely perfect, especially if having it on the current generation gives it a bit more recognition.
