10 Cut Fallout Enemies Designed To Give You Nightmares

2. Gojira - Fallout New Vegas

This one is actually pretty fricking cool.

One of the animators working on the gecko visual assets for F:NV decided to scale things up a bit. He created a massive fire-breathing gecko three times the size of the usual ones, made him almost unkillable, and then played around a bit with it in-game.

Naturally, it became Gojira / Godzilla.

Gojira would have been the strongest creature in the game, with a whopping 8000 hit points. It had a unique fire-breathing animation that did 3200 damage per second, a damage rate that would have made even the shortest direct attack on it almost impossible to win. (Contrast that with the most powerful creature that made it to the game, the Legendary Bloatfly, with 2000 HP and 858 DPS.)

Gojira would have been found hanging out around Camp McCarran, attacking army troops (of course) and terrorizing the base. Despite being cut, modders happily re-inserted it into the game, and gave it Godzilla's classic booming roar to boot, leading to some hair-raising battles with players using every bit of stealth and guile (and, quite often, cheats,) at their disposal.

Oddly enough, if you have the Animal Friend Perk, Gojira will actually protect you in combat and attack other fire geckos in the area.

Now, if we only could have seen him square off with Liberty Prime!
