10 D*ck Move Video Game Achievements Made By Developers
5. FIFA 12
Everyone's favourite developer EA makes another appearance on this list, with everyone's favourite football series, FIFA. Specifically the 2012 iteration of the series.
In general, luck based objectives in games are a horrible beast. Being screwed over by, what is essentially an RNG, or perceived poor luck can often sour an experience to breaking point. Alternatively, pulling a high payday, or in this games case, a high rated player can pop a crowd of dopamine's in your brain that make you feel like the highest lifeform in the universe.
Ultimate Team, for better or worse, is a staple of the online gaming world since its inception as a DLC for FIFA 09. For those unaware, it requires building a fantasy football team to take online and compete with others. The ability to trade players on the marketplace for in-game currency (coins) is present, as are micro-transactions to buy packs (which can also be purchased through coins) to possibly get better cards to trade for profit.
So far, so EA.
The problem with the achievement, "How Great Is That?" is that it requires you to pack Team of the Week player on Ultimate Team. Statistically speaking, the chance of this happening in your first couple of packs is low.
With every failed pack opening comes frustration, which can lead to desperation. Desperation in this instance, is FIFA Points, the dreaded micro-transaction, as attempting to farm coins can take a long time, even to stump up enough dough to open the cheapest gold pack. Horrendous achievement.
