For Soulsborne purists, things have to be done in certain ways. Cheesing is frowned upon because it's not the way the games were intended to be played. For some people, that means using the dank method: beating encounters using combat skills only, without the use of disposable items.

Setting aside any opinions about cheesing in Soulsborne, Sekiro is a game about using your wits as well as your skills. You play a wily shinobi with an arsenal prosthetic tools and items at his disposal.

In other words, you don't have to rely on brute strength to clear levels or beat bosses. Use your items. You can throw ash in an enemy's face to distract him, lure him away from the group with a shard of ceramic, or douse him in oil and set him on fire - it's all fair game.

Don't be afraid to go through your inventory and think up clever ways to best your foes.
