10 Dark Souls Habits You Must UNLEARN To Beat Sekiro

4. Pulling Enemies One By One

The fear of getting ganked is very real. Some Soulsborne players learned to break up groups of enemies by aggro'ing from afar, allowing you to deal with them one by one.

You can still do this somewhat in Sekiro, and it's a valid strategy, but I'd encourage you to try fighting a group at least once. There will be a point where you're familiar enough with the game to use your items, prosthetic tools and the surrounding environment to manage enemies and avoid getting overwhelmed.

There will also be a point where you're just good enough to quickly take down grunts with very little trouble, and it feels pretty good.

Besides, there will be times when you just can't avoid a group fight. Some enemies will stick in close groups of two or three, some are arranged in static groups, and sometimes you'll have a case of a guy watching a guy watching a guy - that is, enemies arranged in such a way that if you attack one, you get into in the line of sight of another, which can still result in an "aggro chain" effect.
