10 Dead Video Game Characters You Can Actually Save

Takemura is one of the earliest characters you'll get to know Cyberpunk 2077's main quest.

A former Corpo bodyguard turned fugitive for a crime he didn't commit, Takemura originally joins you reluctantly, out of shared mutual interest i.e. not being hunted and killed by a megacorporation's private army.

Like most characters in the vast open world RPG, where your relationship goes is largely up to you. Will he be a frenemy, your new bestie, or your new boyfriend?

Whatever path you decide to pursue with Takemura, just know that there's a good chance it'll be cut short.

Ambushed by that previously mentioned private military, you and Takemura become separated in a burning, crumbling building. The game will urge you to turn right at a fork in a hallway, saving yourself the fight against a huge number of extremely well-armed enemies you likely aren't prepared to face anyway - especially if you've spec'd towards stealth or hacking.

Fortunately, you're also in a tight space. So if you can spam enough grenades to make it back to Takemura and then out to safety, you'll get to see a lot more of him.
