10 Dead Video Game Characters You Can Actually Save

5. Aramis Stilton - Dishonored 2

Stilton Manor is arguably Dishonored 2's most interesting level. A dilapidated, condemned and sealed ruin, the manor is populated by its owner, Aramis Stilton, reduced to a mad, babbling shell of a man, and his jailers.

In the past, the game's antagonists conducted a secret occult ritual in Stilton manor, along with a reluctant Stilton himself. This left a tear between reality and the otherworldly Void, causing the past and present to overlap, and condemning Stilton to madness.

Your objective here is purely one of information gathering, traveling between the past and present in an attempt to uncover the secrets of the ritual - not to help Stilton, but to gain intel on your enemies. During the mission you'll witness the strange ritual unfold, up to and included the moment Stilton snaps.

But what if Stilton never makes it to the ritual?

Knock the poor guy unconscious and it will simply proceed without him. Upon returning to the present, the manor will be back in tip-top shape and Stilton will join your little revolutionary crew as an ally.
