10 DEADLIEST Dark Souls Sorceries

4. Pursuers

Understandably, the spells that are the hardest to obtain in Dark Souls are often the most destructive. This particular spell can only be found after completing the entire DLC, Artorias of the Abyss, which players don't usually do until they've virtually finished the main game, soooo...you probably don't have a lot of time to play around with the Pursuers.

Sorcerers may be tempted to use the Soul of Manus to craft the coveted Manus Catalyst. But if you hang onto that soul and trade it in later with Snuggly the Crow, you'll be awarded the secret Pursuers sorcery.

Essentially, it works just like Homing Soulmass, except the orbs are now miniature humanity phantoms. In later games, the spell is known as Affinity and inflicts dark damage, but as dark damage doesn't exist in the first Dark Souls, these homing humanities deal pure physical damage.

In other words, they hit just like a physical weapon would, which is extremely handy for enemies who are resistant to magic. The projectiles are quite slow moving, however, so while they're a godsend in PvE, don't expect them to be much use against invaders.
