10 Disappointing Games That Tricked Us With Brilliant Trailers

1. Dead Island

Did you see this one coming? Probably. It was the trailer seen around the world: slow-motion reverse perfection that had everyone on the edge of their seats in anticipation for what could have been the best game of the year. The trailer had everything from a family in tacky tourist get-ups to zombies getting heads and limbs cut off with an axe. What could possibly disappoint? The warning signs of disappointment came when a music video/trailer came along with a song by Sam B called "Who Do You Voodoo, Bitch." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmy5Fee-BMQ Finally, the game was released to mixed reviews: it wasn't an incredible game by any means, but once you picked it up, it was remarkably hard to put down, even if it was poorly written and acted, the controls were sometimes awkward. The game was also ridiculously glitchy upon release, and that family from the very first trailer were reduced to nothing but an Easter egg within the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZqrG1bdGtg There you have it. Do you agree? Or disagree? What trailers had your heart pumping with anticipation, and what final product left you shaking your head in disappointment? Let us know in the comments.
