Heavy Rain really puts its primary protagonist Ethan Mars through the ringer, perhaps nowhere more so than in The Lizard trial where in order to save his son he has to chop off his own finger.

Well, technically, it’s only the last section of one of his fingers, but that’s still more finger than you’d really like to be chopping off.
