10 Disturbing Video Game Secrets Hiding In Plain Sight
8. The Ghost Of Mount Gordo - Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is no stranger to paranormal secrets, as evidenced by the two flying saucers you can find after getting the 100% completion score.
However, there is one spooky Easter egg that doesn't require you to do anything in order to find it, and its mysterious appearance has sparked a whole explosion of creepy pastas and theories regarding its origin.
The famous Ghost of Mount Gordo is a mysterious spectre resembling a pale white woman that appears on the peak of its namesake mountain at night.
The ghost is a translucent 2D sprite with perfectly white eyes and bloody tears running down her face, making her look like the last thing you'd want to come across as you casually explore the mountain.
What makes this Easter egg even creepier, however, is that the woman floats above the words "JOCK" written in blood, and if you do a little digging on GTA's internet, you can discover that this is a reference to an actual character in the game, Jock Cranley, a mayoral candidate who allegedly killed his wife while hiking in the mountains.
Well, seeing as you can meet his spectral ex in person, it's safe to say it's not quite "alleged," after all.
