10 DLC Bosses Harder Than The Main Game
1. Slave Knight Gael - Dark Souls 3: Ringed City
Dark Souls' overall difficulty has been stated thousands of times, but when it comes to Dark Souls 3, it's important to make a small distinction. The game is hard, sure, but it gets downright sadistic as soon as you encounter the Ringed City optional boss, Slave Knight Gael.
Only a few foes in the main game can match Gael in terms of aggression. Even though he doesn't have the largest health pool or attack power, his erratic moveset combined with the frequency of attacks make him a true menace that not every Dark Souls player is ready for.
The fight is difficult, but for all the right reasons. It requires skill, an understanding of the game's combat, and rapid reflexes that can react to Gael's attacks on time. It's a true test of everything you can learn overall, which is why Gael is best saved for after you've finished the rest of the game.
