Spec ops the line
Panic

This fantastic game takes place deep within the woods of Wyoming. The art style pops right off the screen and provides a stunning backdrop for the story.

Firewatch bolsters a style that has a pastel watercolor feel, and it provides many jaw dropping moments of beautiful untamed wilderness. There are so many moments where you might catch yourself staring off into the vistas, only to snap back to reality and realize you are still playing a game.

While this story seems relatively straight forward at first, it quickly turns into an epic adventure that deals with the moral greys that arrive from the choices that people have to make far too often.

The writing in this game is simply fantastic, as its two main protagonists quickly burrow their way into our hearts. Even though their main form of communication is through walkie talkies, their back and forth banter is witty, charming, and captivating.

Firewatch starts off as a peaceful walk through the woods. As the story begins to ramp up and the intense finale quickly approaches, you won’t want this game to end. The world is simply too beautiful, and you are left wanting to spend more time with its amazing characters.
