10 Most Enjoyable Set-Pieces In The Uncharted Trilogy
8. Museum Heist (U2)
Museum heists seem to appear alarmingly frequently within the action/adventure genre, as the heroes attempt to 'take ownership' of an item or artefact that will aid them in their quest. Uncharted 2 kicks off (after an introductory in medias res chapter) with Drake being approached for such a heist in Istanbul by old rival Harry Flynn, a sleazier British equivalent of himself. They proceed to knock off the establishment with the assistance of Flynn's companion (and Drake's former love interest) Chloe Frazer, constantly attempting to one-up and mock each other as they do so, regardless of the assorted guards and obstacles that they come up against. This banter greatly enhances the set-piece, which sets the plot of the game in motion when Flynn betrays Drake (he's British, it was obviously coming...) to side with Serbian war criminal Zoran Lazarevic. This lands Drake in a Turkish prison, somewhere that Midnight Express taught us all to be a place that should be avoided at all costs...
